Plastic Surgeon Paul M. Glat is a native of New York City and spent his early years in White Plains, New York. He attended the Sorbonne, receiving a certificate in the French language and civilization prior to going to college at Princeton University. After graduating from Princeton Cum Laude in 1984,Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat attended medical school at New York University (NYU) serving as class president and graduating in 1988. Thereafter, he completed training in general surgery at NYU graduating in 1994. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat then began plastic surgery training at the Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at NYU, considered to be one of the top plastic surgery training programs in the world. He spent 1994 through 1996 at NYU training with some of the best known reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons.
Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat then moved to the Philadelphia area to do a post graduate fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1996-1997. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat remained in Philadelphia and became a member of the full-time faculty at MCP-Hahnemann University in 1997 serving as an assistant professor of surgery and heading the Division of Plastic Surgery at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. He continues to hold these academic positions as well as serving as Director of the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial programs at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and as Director of the Burn Unit.
Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat has general interests in aesthetic surgery of the face and breasts as well as in reconstructive surgery. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat has presented at numerous national and international meetings as well as being published extensively on a wide variety of techniques in the plastic surgery literature. He has written several chapters in major plastic surgery textbooks and has published over 90 plastic surgery publications. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat was recently interviewed by ABC News (2000) regarding plastic surgery. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat was just voted as top plastic surgeon in the Philadelphia Magazine, May 2001 issue. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat is certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Glat was recently interviewed by the Main Line Today magazine (October 2001) and was featured as one of the best Plastic Surgeons on the Main Line.
